The new 2019 Focus has been spotted, first on the street than on race track in Germany. The spy photographers have been on the go as several spy photos of the new 2019 Ford Focus ST Wagon have circulated the Internet. A key observation the spy photographers reported is its size noted to be longer in both wheelbase and its overall length, of which one of the current vehicle’s stumbling block is its cramped rear seat.
The new Ford Focus is set to be more comfy to beat competition from other compact car rivals such as Honda Civic and Mazda 3 that have considered passenger friendly cars. Apparently, Ford covers much of the body with fake panels, hiding the expected shape. The concealed taillights, however, appear to be whats expected in the final production stage.
As the giant automotive American company prepares to replace the current Focus, the current spy shots reveal the wagon variant’s advancement at Nürburgring. It still has camouflage in several areas but further reveals some new info concerning the model’s reviewed design.
2019 Ford Focus ST Wagon Interior, Changes
As earlier mentioned, the next-gen Focus wagon is slightly longer which means more room for the cabin and better yet more comfy and passenger friendly seats. Although there has been scarce information about the car, spy photos of the interior have emerged revealing the cabin to be slightly different from the current Focus. The infotainment system’s display screen dominates the cabin located at the upper dashboard’s center stack.

Significant changes can be noted at the rear of the car. The door aperture seems larger as it engulfs the back quarter window created into the C-pillar. The result is the quarter window having the more rounded appearance. There is not enough information regarding the interior but the circulating photos reveal a six-speed manual transmission. An option many believe will come back to complement the revised edition of the six-speed dual-clutch automatic provided in the current vehicle.
The Ford Focus seems not to be aimed at technological advancements as witnessed with other emerging concepts, though it has implemented the Blue Oval which is a high-tech upgrade that might offer a digital instrument cluster as an alternative.
2019 Ford Focus Redesign, Exterior
This test mule gives a different view of headlights. These parts are a single housing with double tiers of lights inside. The part separating the two is most likely the turn signal. The revealing sharp border gives them a distinguished modern view. With the camouflage off, the Focus will adopt a new branded design. The wheels are expected to be 20 inches wide. Furthermore, the taillights are much longer than tall.
The corner intakes spotted in the lower fascia give it a sporty aesthetic and a touch of class. By wagon quality, the test mule looks quite sporty. Its body rides low on a set of sporty black wheels. The huge double exhausts give a plus to the assertive aesthetic. An extended length translates to a higher trunk space, which will provide increased cargo capacity.
The Ford Focus has twin exhaust pipes to one side, common to 2.0-liter diesel engine performance vehicles like the Golf GTD. Its horsepower is still unclear but it is rumored it will range around 190 with all units being turbocharged. If its different from the 2.0 litre diesel model, we expect it to have a 1.5 liter turbo with the same output as the Fiesta ST.

Conclusion, Price and Release date
The 2019 Ford Focus Wagon may not be unleashed quite yet but by looking at the spy photos, it reveals Ford is aiming at re-branding their previous Focus to give it a sporty feel with comfy. It’s still unclear if Ford will be continuing the electric alternative as the automaker is expected to unleash a series of electrified vehicles. In January 2017, Ford had confirmed plans to add a compact electric SUV along a 300-mile range to its sequence by 2020. We expect its production to begin 2018, probably at Summer, with more spy shots being released in a meantime. Price should be unchanged, around $18,000.
