Get ready to greet the first ever performance SUV by Ford. Yes! You got it right; Ford has launched the 2019 Ford Edge ST to the Detroit Auto Show. This SUV is developed by Ford’s Performance Team and it is a superior power tuned up variant of the Sports Utility Vehicles. The suspension has been tweaked with some improved elements to provide sharp response and smooth handling.
2019 Ford Edge ST Changes, Exterior
The new 2019 Edge ST exterior has received the number of updates including the modern look of the rear and front fascia. The gloss black mesh grille remains in same hexagonal shape as in other ford performance models whereas the black-fin treatment is given to the lower apron. The rocker panels are also transformed to give the more aggressive look. It also has two exhaust tips and deep side skirts. This new vehicle is available in 6 exterior colors and going to ride on 20 inches wheel, whereas 21 inches wheels with summer tires will also be available on customers’ demand.

Ford Edge ST 2019 Interior
Just like the exterior, the interior of the Ford Edge ST has also been updated. It has got the exclusive ST logo on seats. The leather-trimmed bucket seats with contrast stitching now have thick bolsters. The center console has been redesigned and the rotary knob has replaced the old gear shifter. It has an eight inches infotainment screen along with HD Radio, the HARMAN’s exclusive B&O PLAY™ Premium Audio system is also installed with 12 speakers to provide optimal audio experience to its passengers. Below the HVAC controls is a hidden storage bin where you can find two USB ports and wireless charger for your smart devices.
Moreover, the new Edge ST has received the Ford Pass Connect App as standard, providing features which allow you to roam around the town carefree. Just with this app on your smartphone, you can remotely start, stop, lock and unlock your vehicle as well as find parking and receiving key vehicle information and schedule services. It also has WiFi hotspot which gives access to 10 devices.
The new 2019 Ford Edge ST will be upgraded with standard AdvanceTrac feature along with 911 Assist, Curve Control, and Roll Stability Control. It also has airbags and side air curtains plus the rain sensing wipers and the rearview camera. Apart from that following features will also be available with the new Edge ST model.

What gives power to this magnificent SUV is the twin-turbocharged 2.7 liter V6 Eco-boost engine, eager to produce 335 horsepower and a torque of 380 pounds-feet. The engine which was previously used to mate with the six-speed transmission is now paired up with eight-speed automatic transmission along with paddle shifters and Auto Start-Stop feature. All Wheel Drive system is standard on all trims. For improved handling and quick response, the suspension of the new Edge ST is also fine-tuned. Other information like fuel economy and the top speed of the car has not been revealed by the Company yet. The Ford Edge ST will get a new ‘Sports’ Mode which allows the drivers to have quick engine braking and smooth cornering while providing aggressive throttle retort and booming exhaust pitch.
Price and Release date
Ford has not shared anything regarding the price of the new Ford Edge ST 2019, prices will be disclosed close to the release date. It is expected to reach the dealership by the Summer of 2018.
