A new midsized sedan car from Ford will be making its debut during the 2018 New York Auto Show. It is the new 2019 Ford Fusion, which will be the first company model to use an ultra-modern Co-Pilot 360 driver-assist technology. This car will feature a sleeker styling on all its models and a slightly revised front and rear styling.
2019 Ford Fusion Changes, Exterior
The exterior includes a new grille and upfront LED driving lights. The use of LED headlights in this car gives it superior lighting qualities and uses less energy. There is a revised trunk lid that is complemented by LED rear taillights. The SEL, SE, and S models will have five bars on its grille while the Titanium model will have a chrome mesh.

Ford is expected to offer new colors for this car on top of the current standard colors. They include white platinum, oxford white, white gold, magnetic, ingot silver, burgundy velvet, shadow black, lightning blue, blue metallic, and ruby red. Just like its predecessor, the car will likely use the 18-inch premium wheels. There will be new foglights and a power moonroof to bring in the fresh air and enjoy the view of the sky.
Ford Fusion 2019 Interior
The car’s interior is friendly, pleasant, and quite spacious. The driving position can be adjusted to give you a better view and control. It comes with a number of safety features including blind-spot warning, pedestrian detection automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a backup camera.
You should also expect an adaptive cruise control system and SiriusXM travel link. These features have been included to make driving of the car safer and much easier. You should expect an 8-inch LCD screen and a sync 3 infotainment system. The LCD screen has the pinch-to-zoom capabilities for navigation purposes and voice-activated commands.

An embedded LTE modem provides Wi-Fi connectivity that supports up to 10 devices. There will be a new Waze compatibility feature that assists drivers to shun distressing traffic spots. Smart features like the Alexa app are expected to come with this car. This app will enable you to access lots of shopping items and music.
The standard powertrain for this car will be a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. This engine has the capacity to move from 0 to 60 mph in just 8.9 seconds. The 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid and Energi models of this car including the Sport and Fusion S models are expected to use a 2.0-liter engine. The estimated electric-only EPA range for this car is 25 miles which are about 20 percent higher than the current model. A brand new 9.0 KWH of lithium-ion air-cooled battery has been designed to give this car substantial energy capacity.
The 6-speed transmission system is expected alongside the car’s impressive braking capabilities. The 2.0-liter hybrid engine is expected to use a CVT transmission system for smoother operation. Just like its predecessor, the car will come in five trim levels. These are S, SE, V6 Sport, Titanium, and Platinum. The horsepower capabilities should be about 325 hp with the torque being 380 lb-ft. The standard car will be an FWD but there is an option to get an AWD model.
Price and release date
The car is expected to hit the market towards the last quarter of 2018 as a 2019 model. In terms of price, the basic S model is expected to cost about $23,000 while its loaded SE counterpart will cost in the region of $25,000. The high-performance 2019 Ford Fusion Sport model will cost you about $35,000. Next-gen Ford sedan will have 36 diferent configurations options.
