Unlike Audi and Volkswagen models, Ford’s mid-sized sedan cars tend to get to the American market before their European counterparts. A redesigned 2019 Ford Mondeo seems to be under development having been spotted in Sweden. This sedan has received a mid-life refresh just like its Fusion counterpart.
2019 Ford Mondeo Redesign, Exterior
The car has received some minor upgrades in its exterior outlook. These revisions touch on the front, rear, headlight and taillight graphics. The front is expected to receive new headlights, a bit more angular design, and a curl in the lower part. In a similar move to that of the 2019 Fusion car, this car gets a redesigned trunk and updated taillights.

The spied car looks like a Titanium model considering the visible double exhaust and the chrome window edges. Instead of the adaptive LED headlights, it uses the typical halogen projector lamps. Based on the various trim levels that will be available, you should expect a more assertive diffuser and a small stylish spoiler. The fog lights are likely to obtain a new shape.
Ford Mondeo 2019 Interior
The 2019 Ford Mondeo (spied) interior is most likely to resemble that of the current model. Minor changes are expected to give this car a better finish and improve its build quality. Expect a better fit, charming materials, and a better assortment of the upholstery colors. The infotainment system is likely to be upgraded to a newer Sync Connect version.

The other standard features expected include blind-spot monitors, lane-keep assist, pedestrian detection emergency braking, and a suite of safety features. Just like its predecessor, you should expect large smooth seats that are quite supportive for longer journeys. The center console is likely to have two cupholders while the door pocket should have a bottle holder.
The new Mondeo car is expected to borrow the engine specifications of the current model. The two likely options are the 1.5-liter turbo engine and the 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine. A 1.5-liter TDCI diesel option is also expected as well as a three power 2.0-liter TDCI option.
The horsepower capabilities for the base model should be around 150 hp while that of the loaded bi-turbo unit should be about 238 hp. Some versions will get the 190 horsepower. There is a likelihood of Ford retaining the 1-liter Ecoboost engine for the less adventurous units.
Apart from the 6-speed manual transmission system, a brand new 8-speed automatic system is expected for this car.
Price and release date
This car is expected to be unveiled during the 2018 Paris motor show. It should be getting to the market somewhere around mid or late 2019. The base model for this car will be going for about $33,000 while its high-end model is expected to cost close to $50,000.
