2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

The most aggressive Mustang car from Ford has undergone some minor improvements to make it even meaner. This is the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 which comes with better balance, driving capabilities, and unchanged 5.2-liter V8 engine. These improvements are meant to raise the driver’s confidence and make the car more powerful.

2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Changes, Exterior

2019 Shelby GT350 exterior has been designed to enhance the track-focused legacy and road course racing capabilities of the car. This model has been upgraded with better aerodynamics, chassis and quality sports tires… The rear wing design has been refreshed whereas its front grille opening has been redesigned to correspond to that of the track-focused GT350R. A smaller opening that helps in cooling the air and a new spoiler helps in delivering a much better aerodynamic efficiency. There will be an option to get the Gurney flap for this model in order to increase its downforce.

The grille has been designed in a way that admits reduced air in order to minimize the front end lift. Shelby GT350 moves away from the Pilot Super Sport tires of the previous model and instead uses the Pilot Sport Cup 2 Michelin tires. Two new exterior colors have been introduced for this model; Ford Performance Blue and Velocity Blue. There will still be an option to order for factory-painted racing stripes that usually come in high-gloss colors of either Oxford White, Shadow Black or Kona Blue.

The interior of the 2019 Mustang Shelby GT350 has been boosted to make it more stylish and comfortable. It now includes Miko suede inserts in its redesigned door panels. There is also the refreshed power front seats and a host of standard features. Features that have been made standard on this model include the 8.0-inch touchscreen, machine-operated aluminum instrument panel, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The cabin retains the Recaro race seats as a standard. The seats use the previous Miko suede finish and are now power-adjustable. A brand new 12-speaker high-performance audio system and a Sync 3 infotainment system have been included. Also added are the FordPass Connect and SiriusXM features. A universal garage door opener and an enclosed center console is part of the world-class craftsmanship that has been applied to this model.

The new 2019 Shelby GT350 retains the 5.2-liter V8 engine which is basically the most powerful engine ever to be produced by Ford. This engine has the capacity to deliver a torque of 429 lb-ft and a horsepower of 526 hp. The six-speed manual transmission system will be used in this model. This Tremec system has been used in the current model and it has a precise-shifting and track-proven record. To enhance its performance, the car comes with a revised brake calibration and an increased downforce.

There has also been the recalibration of the standard MagneRide suspension using new springs. This combines with the upgraded damping to make the car much sharper. A three-mode electric power-assist enhances the electronic stability of this car. The caliper Brembo brakes with four rear pistons and six front pistons will offer the stopping power required for this car.

Price and release date

The car is being built in Michigan at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant and is expected to get to the market in early 2019. New Mustang Shelby GT350 2019 price is likely to be in the region of $58,000.
