2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty Changes, Exteriors

The exteriors may continue with the previous versions and many believe that there only will be some cosmetic changes as far as the outside looks are concerned. Those who have followed Ford closely and the F-series, in particular, would most certainly expect it to have some functional upgrades like chassis upgrades, better towing and payload. The list is quite big but again these are based on hearsays and opinions and not supported by any confirmed news.

It is expected that the Ford F-series 2020 variant will have a much larger grille and one can expect the bumper also to be redesigned. This might help funnel cooler air to keep the powertrain from too much heating. The rear-wheel models could even see some increase in size again with the objective of increased airflow. The rear and front taillights are restyled and the tailgate should also have a new look. Finally the LED headlamps get stronger lights.

Ford F-Series Super Duty 2020 Interiors

The cabin in all probabilities will be a carbon copy of the older versions. However, you could opt for some cosmetic changes if you plan to go in for the top trim limited versions. The new models scheduled to hit the roads in 2020 could also come with additional and generous inputs of leather as far as the entire interiors are concerned. The wood trim with black ash color and a faux suede headliner are also a few things that come to our mind and could be a part of the new versions. It will also have some new safety features built into it. You can expect a new wi-fi hotspot and a 4G LTE modem and the same can be connected to a whopping 10 devices. The new truck will also come with telematics suite and this will be useful for fleet operators and it can help them to keep track of the actual location of various vehicles.

Engine And Under The Hood

The powertrain of the 2020 version of Ford F-Series will be standard 6.2-liter gasoline V8. It is likely to be paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. However, there are reasons to believe that the F-350 versions could have a new 10-speed transmission but this again is based on grapevine inputs and there is nothing concrete about it. If you go in for the high output 7.3 liter V8 which is optional, you can see the engine generate 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque which could be termed as majestic. This beast will use 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift automatic transmission. The engine should be able to two around 18,500 pounds. New third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engine will be third options, it will have more horsepower and torque (rumor about 1,000 lb-ft of torque).
